The clouds made the mountains look gorgeous.
He was pretty proud of it.
within reach. They make the best teething toys. Plus it's fun to get all tangled up.
thing to do was play hide and seek with them. Like an Easter egg hunt.
He's so dang cute!
But full of bubbles!
The boys and I took off Friday and went down to my Grandma's house. My mom just had knee replacement surgery Friday the 4th and was spending some time down there so that my Grandparents could take care of her.
It has been a crazy last couple of weeks with the surgery and all. Mom didn't do to well coming out due to the fact that she wasn't able to get a nerve block that most knee replacement patients get. Her blood thinning medicine she has to take for blood clots caused her blood to be to thin and they were worried about her bleeding out. So she got normal pain meds which totally didn't cut it. I had a very hard time seeing my mom in pain. After all her past experiences in the hospital I decided I needed to spend as much time as I could with my mom. I even got to have a sleep over at the hospital with her. Now I know how Matt feels staying with me. Those beds are not the best. And I didn't not sleep to well. But it felt good to know that I knew what was going on and she wasn't alone. Matt and my inlaws were awesome helping out and letting me come and go as I needed too. Monday the 7th my mom got out. My good friend from the ward Janie was great and was willing to take the boys for a very long day while I took care of my mom and got her down to Santaquin to my grandparents.
So with all the time I spent away from my boys it was nice to get away and spend some time with them. We got creative with the entertainment. Since TV all the time wasn't an option. (grandpa has his rountine of shows and the news he can't miss) So we colored, played hide and seek with the toys, played cards, went for a walk, and helped out alot with the chickens. (unfortunatly I didn't get any pics of them) But the highlight of the trip was Great Grandma's BIG tub and the BIG bubbles. Mason is never able to have bubble bathes because of his skin. But GGMa has a jetted tub and we were able to use Mason's special shampoo and it made the biggest bubbles. They boys loved every minute of it.
To me coming home and seeing how much Matt missed us. That was just the icing on the cake. We sure missed our Daddy. It felt good to be home and in our own bed. Right next to our favorite Daddy.
All in all we had a great weekend. It was great to be able to spend time with my mom and Grandparents. I used to love sleeping over at Grandma and Grandpa's there's something about it. The pancakes taste better the bathes are more fun and it's just a good time. Somethings never change. I loved seeing my kids enjoy the same things I used to enjoy and still do.
