Maxton is now 5 months old. Can you believe it? He's so stinkin cute. We can't get enough of this chunk. He is always being held or entertained. Even when he's not in the mood. He's almost 16 lbs. and growing bigger every day I swear. He's super happy most of the time and Mommy has become his favorite person. He's my little buddy.
I took a bunch of pics the other day at the doctors office. Just to show how big this little guy is getting.

Humpty Dumpty
One of my favorite things about Kindergarten at the boys' school is the Mother Goose Museum. Last year Mason was Jack from Jack and Jill. And this year Mattix was Humpty Dumpty.
The way a Mother Goose Museum works, is the kids all represent a nursery rhyme and they stand in front of their back drop dressed up. They are supposed to stand like statues until someone pushes their sticker button. Which makes them come to life and recite their rhyme.
Mattix did not want to dress up all. He is so shy. We looked at many costumes online and talked about having grandma sew him something. But he just didn't want to. He remembered a hand puppet we had made for preschool a few years ago and said that's all he wanted. I was thinking one night while laying in bed looking at all the boxes surrounding me... He could wear a box. So this is what we came up with. I think it turned out awesome. And him "hiding" inside a box made him feel braver than usual.
Trying to stand still. But smiling so hard because someone is getting read to push his button.
Hippity hoppity Easter
I hope everyone had a great Easter! I know we did. It was fun to have Easter at our new house this year and because we were so excited we decided to have a couple parties to celebrate. We invited my family over Saturday and had dinner and an egg hunt. Than Sunday we had the Harris family party and another egg hunt.
Sunday morning we woke up to bunny poop all over the floor and a note from the Easter bunny that he had once again hid our baskets. Mason and Mattix woke up super early and got an early start but couldn't find their baskets anywhere. Ha Ha that tricky bunny. Manning slept and slept. The boys couldn't wait any longer so we woke up daddy and Manning and started hunting for baskets. Manning didn't feel so good so he just laid there. I felt so bad for him. He had no desire to do anything.
The boys discovered that the poop led to their baskets but Mattix and Mason still couldn't figure out where their baskets were.
Not in the oven.
Brenda came up and was so excited to see all the "poop." She started eating it by the handful. The boys laughed so hard.
With a little help Mason found his.
Than Brenda saw something in the microwave. What's that?? Oh it's Mattix's basket.
Because of our busy weekend we didn't have time to die eggs. So before church we finally got to color eggs. But Manning still wasn't feeling good so he went back to bed. Hopefully next year will be better. Poor guy.
I think he likes it...
The Easter bunny brought this little guy some yummy treats, applesauce, bananas and rice cereal. So to celebrate and because daddy was home we decided to give solid food a try...
At first he wasn't to sure. He made faces and it came right back out, followed by some gagging and more funny faces.
But we kept trying and soon he liked what he was tasting. He hasn't quite got the idea of a spoon and tries to lick it and it takes a couple tries with every spoonful to keep it in. He's such a big boy I can't believe he's already 5 months old. His brothers are so excited about this new milestone. Everytime we go to feed him they each have to take a turn helping and the think it's the funniest thing ever to see it come back out.
We love our little brother!!
