Preschool Halloween party!

Here's most of the gang. We are missing a couple.

We played pin the nose on the pumpkin.

He tried our hand at the mummy wrap.

Decorated cookies.

Ate some yummy pumpkin pizza for lunch.

Yummy! It's so funny how different each kid is. I swear each child eats pizza a different way.

And we made totally cool spider hats. Pretty spooky!

An Attitude of Gratitude.

Pres. Thomas S. Monson Says;

We can lift ourselves and others as well, when we refuse to remain in the realm of negetive thought and cultivate within our hearts an attitude of gratitude.

A couple weeks ago while we were at church some kids were playing with a lighter in the empty field by our house and a good chunk of the field was burned. (Not close enough for our house to be affected) That's scary business. I was involved when I was younger in a similiar incident. It's very scary! Kids + Fire don't add up. It's no good. It has been a learning experience for my boys. I am very happy those kids are safe though. We went over to my friend's house and found out that the fire was right in her back yard and could of burnt down her house had it not been for the fire fighter's, the good weather, and the firewall that was made between her yard and the field.
I am very grateful to the firefighters for taking care of my friends. And making sure that the fire didn't get out of control. And that the kids were not seriously hurt.
The firemen in our neighborhood we like to consider them OUR firefighters. My boys have always loved firetrucks and firemen. Mason had his 3rd birthday at the firestation and we have toured it a couple times. Naturally we had to do something to show them our Gratitude. What's funny is it was Mason's idea. I read online that if you go the the firestation in October they will give you a glow stick and talk about fire safety. I wanted to do this. Mason just took it a step up. He said "let's take the firefighter's a treat." So we made them cookies and bought them a pumpkin to carve.
We tried to visit them a couple times but they were never "home." We finally caught them the other day. And it was so awesome! We dropped the stuff off and there was 3 firemen that were there. They gave the boys a private tour and let them play with stuff. It was so cute to listen to them talk and carry on converations with them.
There is one thing in life I really want to teach my children and I find it to be one of the most important things you can learn in your life and that is to have an attitude of gratitude.
Because if you are thinking about other's it's hard to get caught up in the woe to me part of life.
Plus it feels good to do nice things for others!

I got to tag along.... :)

One of the cool things about Mason going to his own school is that he get's to
go on fieldtrips with his teacher and his friends. Last year I wasn't able to go on very many. I was pregnant and I was tending a few more kids than I could probably handle out. Not to mention they wouldn't all fit in my van. But this year I got to go to Wheeler Farm with them. I probably get a little more excited than I should but, I was so excited to get to go. I want so bad to be a part of my kids and their learning. And that includes school.
Brace yourself... I took a ton of pictures!

There was a super cool witch inside the big barn. Mason begged me to take his picture with her.

Mattix really wanted his picture taken with the rooster. But the rooster wasn't in the mood for pictures.

All the brown geese following the white goose.
Even geese play follow the leader!

Mason and some of his preschool friends.

Pretty funny! They have these signs all over the place!

I wish they'd tell the geese the same thing.
Be a friend to the people:
Please DO NOT CHASE the people visiting Wheeler farm
Thank you!

Manning can't read. How was he supposed to know he wasn't supposed to feed
his fingers to the geese. He just wanted to touch it. Yeah and the goose just wanted to eat him!
I have a serious phobia of geese. This was insane. They were surrounding us and everywhere. I started panicing. I am sure everyone got a good laugh out of me freaking out.

What's the best thing to do when surrounded by tons of geese?
Pull out some bread and attract some more. Thanks Kathleen! At least the boys had fun.
In the milking barn. Mason's friend Brianna was so cute. She plugged her nose the whole time.
It was quite stinky.

What's a Wheeler farm trip without a couple tractor pictures?

We love the tractors!

My boys getting ready for the hay ride.

Manning really wanted up.

After the fieldtrip with brought our lunch and stayed to have lunch with Brianna, Ian and thier Mom. We ate by the coolest tree.

The boys had fun climbing.

I took so many cute pictures. I sat and dreamed of how cute so many spots would be in family pictures so I set it up and we came back a few days later and got some super cute pictures.

It was such a fun day.

Mattix checking out a storm drain. He was convinced there was a monster living in there.

As we walked along I noticed that Mason has grown. He's growing up and getting taller, just check out those floods.
After this day I went home and pulled out 4T's. Mason has graduated to the next size up!!

Not my best Mommy day...

Today is one of those days! Grumpy mom and crazy out of control kids.
Pretend the animals in this picture are my other two boys. And I am not really ironing but the iron is falling on the head of the "animal" below because the animal above is purposly trying to hit the other. The alarm in the back is reminding me that lunch is still cooking, probably over cooking. And I can't find my favorite flip flops.
I love my boys don't get me wrong. But some days mommy needs a time out too.
There's something so theraputic about blogging. Sorry about the boobalishis picture. It's just the perfect picture for me today.

I can't wait for daddy to come home!

One year older and wiser too!

Random pictures of me.
(Matt's in there and a couple of my siblings)
I am officially one year older. Every year on my birthday I can't help but think about all that's gone in the year from the last birthday and what's ahead in the year until the next.
I am sure there's alot in store for me this year. I have goals and plans. But we all know what happens when you plan things out. Nothing ever goes as planned. So I guess we'll see.
Here's some pictures of my birthday celebrations.
My good friend and her family stayed up late Sunday night and decorated my house.
It was quite a suprise when I woke up. The boys loved it!

It's crepe paper. From my door it looks like toilet paper.

The big happy birthday sign on my fence.

They didn't leave out my van. I got to drive Mason to school with signs on my car. Every is sure to know that it was my birthday.

We've had this birthday sign from the begining of Matt and I. And it's tradition to have it hanging for the birthday person to see when the get up in the morning. Matt didn't forget!

A clean house and a bunch of loot. Thanks everyone!

More loot! And my left over's from my yummy dinner. Matt took me to Olive Garden for dinner. It has been a very long time since we've been to a sit down and be served restraunt. It was yummy! The boys were worried that I we didn't have birthday cake. But another good friend brought over some delicious cake and that made the boys' day.
Thank you to all of you that helped make my birthday wonderful! I apprieciate all the birthday wishes and nice words! I have awesome Friends and an awesome family!

Probably not a good idea...

Never underestimate the ideas that spring from two 3 yr. olds.
Hey Jackson let's put the car on the wagon and ride in it.
That sounds like fun!

How do we get it on there?

Mattix we did it! It's my turn first.

Oh man why did it fall off?
Daddy's standing there with his pumpkin pie saying, "see guys that would of been you falling off the wagon in the car."
That could of been a disaster waiting to happen. I am glad I stood and took pictures to document the occasion.

It's really there I promise!

I am happy to report Manning's hair is growing.
He gets teased alot for not having a whole lot of hair.
But check it out!! We have a curl!

I love this picture. He looks so much like his big brother Mason.

How to trap your brother....

Step 1 - Lure him in with chocolate and shut the gate real quick.

Step 2 - Make it look like fun. Than he'll want to come see what all the excitement's all about.

Step 3 - Just pick it up and put the trap on him.

But watch out, he's quick! You might end up the one stuck in the trap.
