Helping Hands

While painting at the new house Manning decided to lend his hand/s to daddy. Sadly in a much not so helpful way. This wall wasn't supposed to be blue and neither was the carpet. Oops! Good thing we love that boy.

Tooth fairy drama

We are starting to dread lose teeth around here. Mason for some reason has developed a fear of losing teeth. He discovers its lose and than refuses to eat with that tooth, brush it, or touch it. It gets to the point that this time it was nasty looking and just hanging there. Heaven forbid someone touch it. This time he was at baseball practice and bent down to catch a grounder and it bumped him in the mouth, causing his tooth to finally fall out. You'd think this being tooth number 3. He'd be used to all this by now. But he's not.
We got an envelope to put it in he wrote a note to the tooth fairy and that night I had somewhere I needed to go and the boys had to come along. In the car I guess he couldn't get the envelope to seal and kept trying. I'm pretty sure that's how he lost it. When we got home and it was time to go to bed, the tooth was gone. He was devastated. I tried to convince him we could write the tooth fairy an note. And I argued with him. He was certain she wasn't going to come. The later it got the harder it was to calm him down. After some advice from Facebook, I finally did the note myself and let the kid fall asleep crying. Sounds mean but what do you do.
I am happy to report the tooth fairy did understand. It happens all the time. He got his dollar for all that drama. Which I think I should of got one too. How many more teeth does he have to lose?
