Not so pretty.
This masterpiece just happens to be "blueberry confetti."
( I thought I bought just a plain cake mix. It was a confetti cake)
It's amazing all the beauty Heavenly Father created for us. It's nice to get
away every now and than to remember there is beauty out there.
I was worried that after last year and Mattix getting hurt we'd never go camping again. Matt was ready to sell it all and never go again. But I am happy to report we made it. We have only missed one Memorial day weekend campout in the history of "The/My Harris Family. " I wasn't ready to miss another. Plus it was good to see things go so smooth. It was awesome everytime we prayed weather it be before bed or before we ate. I felt a confirming feeling that everything was going to be ok. We were safe and we were doing what we needed to do. Spend time with our kids and enjoy each other.
We took off Friday evening and got a little lost on the way. Got up there around 9:00. We went up with some good friends. It was so fun to get to know them and spend time with the. The boys had a blast with their friends. With a little team work we got camp set up and it was nothing but fun from there. The only thing I would change about the weekend was the temp. at night. Holy cow. I totally wish the term "freezing my butt off" was litteral. I would of come home 20 lbs. lighter. Dang I have never been so cold in my life. I was so worried about keeping the kids warm. I kind of frooze in the process. I was so successful at keeping them warm that Manning ended up with a heat rash.
All in all dispite the COLD. It was a very good time. I am glad we have these moments to spend with our kids and build some great memories.
