Welcome to Louisville!

Hanging out in the dugout at the Louisville Slugger Museum.

 My boys love this place.
Not the best picture but I had asked this older guy to take our picture and he didn't even say he was taking the picture. I was trying to explain to him how to work the camera and he must of clicked it. Oh well one of the cutest family pictures of me and ALL my Harris boys.
 Swinging in the batting cages.

 Home run waiting to happen.
My boys in front of the wall of fame.

Two years ago when we took our last road trip we stopped at the Louisville Slugger museum. My boys remembered out of the whole trip the worlds biggest bat. They were so excited to get their picture taken in front of it this year.

Our last temple we found on our trip was the Louisville, KY temple. It was an awesome experience.
It was such a peaceful place. And the statues were so beautiful.

The coolest part was when we got there, there was a couple cars leaving and a guy getting ready to lock up the grounds. He totally was willing to wait and let us wonder around. Matt even stood and talked with him. He turned out to be the temple president. He was such a nice guy. He was even a retired UPS worker. It was neat to listen to him and to hear his stories and his advice. I loved this stop. The cutest thing about him was when the boys were running around playing, I got after them. The temple president said to me don't you think Heavenly Father would love to watch the kids run and play in his gardens? It was neat to hear that and visualize that. I still had to remind them to play without being to rowdy.

Let's get on the road.

On the way out of St. Louis on Wednesday we stopped at the St. Louis temple to check it out. I was worried the boys would be sick of stopping to see temples. But they are still so excited to see everyone we stop at. Finding them has been one of my favorite parts of our trip.

Mattix loved the feeling of the hot bench. He laid there and soaked up the sun. Looks peaceful.
These pink roses were everywhere and they smelled so good. They made the whole grounds smell good.

We drove from St. Louis through, Illinois, Indiana and finally into Kentucky. When we were driving through Indiana we hit a flash rain storm. It made even looking out the window hard. I was worried.

But as quickly as it came it was gone. Long enough to get the boys to calm down. (I think they are starting to not enjoy the car. Sadly we have a lot of driving to go.) We made it to Kentucky safe and hit some really fun spots....

While in St. Louis...

We saw the cool arch from the freeway.
 That's where we were headed.
 There it is.
We got our tickets to our first major league baseball game.
 Just a little excited.
We got there early and had a blast watching them warm up and practice. Just like we do before our games. Peewee's/Major leagues what's the diff?
Hot dogs are a must at a baseball game.
Finally cooled down to a whopping 95. By the end of the game it was 84.
The pregame show was awesome. They had navy parachute droppers.
 One came... That was awesome.

Than like 12 started dropping. That was stinkin awesome.

How did Manning cool down and stay entertained.
 He played with my ice.
Don't worry I was done with that.
The moon looked cool above the score board.
Take me out to the ball game.
Mom it's hot!! Stop taking pictures.
 One more? OK
This is fun. We made it all 9 innings. They did so good. No running around, no fits, and we didn't lose anyone. They want to go to another one.
 The arch at night.
We had a blast Tuesday. It was hot and by the time we drove back to our hotel, the car smelled worse than the reptile house at the zoo. Don't worry, nothing a nice cool bath couldn't fix. And a bed or two.
