Crash Jr.

Mattix liked Manning's bump the other day so much he thought he'd get his own.
Do you see it that big blue and purple circle in the middle of his forehead. My camera isn't so great. But it's a good one.

Today with the wind blowing so hard. Manning tried to run away from me outside. The screen door swung open so hard it smacked him right in the forehead above his eye. It knocked him flat on his back. He got up and must of been seeing stars he couldn't walk straight. Poor kid. Mattix went through the same bruised forhead all the time phase when he was Manning's age. He earned the nickname "Crash." Well I think it's safe to introduce you to Crash Jr. Just following in his big brother's footsteps.

And They're Out

This doesn't happen very often at our house. My boys are not very good at falling asleep just anywhere. They have to be very tired to fall asleep like this especially with the T.V. on. At least Mason, Mattix not so bad.
I feel kind of guilty tonight. I told the boys they could watch a little bit of High School Musical before they went to bed. (mommy confession: I was hoping I could have a moment to do a little facebook catch up.) I didn't think I took that long. But it was long enough for them to knock out. We had a fun night at our friend's house tonight having dinner and playing. They must of had a very good time. It's weird I am so used to our " bedtime routine" I think that's why I feel so guilty. I didn't get that little bit of time. I love reading with them, scriptures and our from our library books, we sing songs, and have prayer. It's just a very good way to end the day.
But I do have to say as I carried Mason down to his bed, he woke up and said "mom we didn't say prayer." I asked him if he wanted to say it. He said he was to tired. So I said it. By the time I was done he was back asleep. I just felt good to knowthat he too noticed something was missing. I have such good boys. I sure do love them.
I love being a mom.

Ouch!

Poor guy. It looks better today. He a tough kid though.
When I saw the neighbor girl pulling him around in the wagon I thought it was cute. Well than she decided she was done. Oops. It's all fun and games until someone gets dumped out of the wagon.

Fun in the Sun

It's been so pretty the last couple days. The boys have loved being able to play outside.
The neighbor kids came over the other day and they got to run around and soak up the sunshine.

Brianna is so sweet. She loves to push the kids on the swings. Manning loves every minute of it.

Mattix does too.

The higher the better.

Cayden tried to play ball but Manning kept taking it away.

Mason and Cayden got to play Pokemon cards outside. That made Mason's day.
We love sunshine!

Happy Valentine's day!

When I was in elementary school I loved Valentine's day. I loved exchanging those little cards, that I had spent so long writing names and picking out the perfect one for each person in my class. Than once I realized that boys were cute and I really wanted a real Valentine. I hated Valentine's day. Which was pretty dumb now that I think about it. I could of had so much fun on Valentine's day if I would of just stopped whining and feeling sorry for myself. Pretty silly.
But now that I am a mom and I have a husband, I rather enjoy Valentine's day. I don't go all out but I do enjoy the crafty ideas and just having a day to teach my kids specifically about love.
Matt suprised me with flowers. And he cleaned the kitchen for me. (including mopping) He's so awesome! My mom made us this pair of lips pillow. It turned out pretty cute.

For Mason's preschool they could decorate a box for their Valentine's day. He was so excited. We came up with this TV idea. And he drew the pokemon picture and put on the stickers. It turned out so awesome.

He was very proud of his award his teacher gave him.

Between neighbors, Mason's preschool, and our preschool we've got quite the collection of valentine's and candy.

Mason made this super cute "Book of Kisses." He told me Mrs. Sandy put lipstick on him and he was a good sport. He was so excited to give it to me.

Some of his stash.
We did our preschool party today. The kids got so much candy we had fun, made cookies and played games. I love celebrating with kids. They seem to make things alot more fun. I couldn't find my camera all morning, so I missed taking pictures of our party. :(

I made this cute bucket at my friend's house for her girls night. It turned out so cute. I put suckers and PEZ in it and let the boys figure out how to open it. They loved getting special treats for Valentine's Day.

My cute "love bucket."
I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day.
Happy Day After Valentine's day!

Little Miss I'll be Tough

I love it when God takes over and you can totally see his hand working in plain sight. It's interesting though. How doubt tries to sneak in and take over.
The Harris house is undergoing some big changes. Matt and I have been praying and really trying to decide what our family needs to succeed in the future. Things aren't working in the trying to make life work with what we have department. And when things aren't working the best thing to do is look at what you can do to change for the better. Matt went back to school full time this summer and went to working part time. I in turn have been working a part time job, teaching preschool, and babysitting. We haven't been able to make things work. It's time to make changes. We looked at putting our house up for sale. We both feel like it's our house payment that needs to go. The sign went up last Saturday. We've been praying for things to work out and scared of all the details. We were looking at a short sale. In the mist of the conversation and thought of selling the house. The idea came up that a friend of the family might be looking to rent. So Sunday they came and looked at the house and decided by monday that they want to rent the house. So the Harris family is packing up and Matt's parents have invited us to come live with them. Matt is in the process of finishing their basement.
So how do I feel about all this? I do have to say that I am finally coming to terms with the idea. When we first started the paper work to sale. I cried alot. I still cry. But I can honestly say that I have prayed for Heavenly father to calm my heart and help me to know that this is what we need and that we are going to be ok. It helps that I have great friends and family that are all being so greatly supportive and believe we are doing the right thing.
I was so worried about leaving all my friends behind. I have made so many friends in my neighborhood. And this ward has become my family. I love them all. But I've been thinking it may not be the same. But they will still be my friends and I sure hope they will still call me and let me come hang out and be part of the crowd. Technology is great these days no reason to lose touch. Especially when I will be less than 10 min. away.
I just can't believe how quickly things are falling into place. I know it's not going to go so smooth. But I guess when things are supposed to happen Heavenly Father prepares the way. I have until the last week in March to get things gone through and packed. This will definatly be an adventure.

Just the two of us!!

In honor of our 6 year anniversary and the fact that life has just been absolutly crazy, Matt decided him and I needed to get away for a couple days. Last weekend we took off on a mini get away drove for 5 - 6 hours and stayed in Vegas for the weekend. Matt's mom took the boys for the weekend and got to enjoy a couple real sleepover "Nana nights."
And me being the blogger that I am. Took pictures all weekend to "document" the excitement.

At the truck stop in Beaver the air dryer in the restroom was so powerful it litterally looked like it was going to blow the skin right off my hand.

I found this to be quite amusing. I had to take a picture. Matt said he could hear me laughing all the way out in the store. Some lady told me to stick my face under it and she'd take my picture. I should of but just couldn't bring myself to do it.

I absolutely love the huge rock mountains that are on both sides of the freeway between Arizona and St. George. The keep me in aw the whole time we are driving through. Totally gorgeous!

Finally got to Vegas. We stayed at the Palace Station. Off the freeway not the strip. From what I took in from the strip we were better off with our hotel away from there.

Poor Matt had a root canal the day before and he spent most of the weekend in so much pain. He kept trying to tough it out without taking the pain meds. But he managed to have some fun.

We did try out a game called KENO. (sp?) We spent $2 and picked 20 numbers. Than when the computer picked their numbers you win $ for how ever many numbers match. We actually won $10. We wasted that money and tried the slots. I can't handle wasting money so after losing $5.50 I said no more. But that was the extent of my gambling habit. :)

We only really ate out twice. We ate breakfast at the Hotel's cafe. And ate at the biggest buffet I had ever seen in my life. I ate so much I thought was seriously going to be sick. It was funny all weekend long as I was supposed to be having a break and relaxing I found myself thinking Mason would like this or if Mattix was here I'd save these grapes for him. I sure missed them.

What Vegas trip would be complete without a trip to M&M world? Especially if you and your honey's initial's are "M & M."
We walked for like 3 hours looking for this place and realized we hadn't walked far enough. It was down further. But we finally found it.

The cheap'O that I am refused to buy this totally darling necklace dispite the deeper meaning it held. I couldn't bring myself to pay that much for something like that. But it sure was cute. So I took a picture.

And of course we had to play in the gift shop. Try on hats and other goofy things.

I thought I looked rather hot.

Apparently so did Matt!

The lovely couple on their Anniversary. 6 whole years and if feels like we've been together so much longer. (that's a good thing)

Me falling into the fountain.

We happened to run into a couple stars at the Flamingo!

They weren't shy, they even let us take pictures with them.

At the end of the night we were walking back down the strip to head back to our car. We stopped at Treasure Island. I remember how cool the show "used to" be. FYI ~ it's awful. I wouldn't even take the time to see it again. And during this trip I totally realized that Vegas (at least what I saw of it) my friends is NOT a place to take your kids. You can't look up down or around without being bomb barded with nasty dirty stuff. I think I got my lifetime of boobs in. Thanks ladies.
But all in all it was a very good weekend. It was nice to take a break from life and spend some much needed time with Matt. We don't get out much alone. But when we do I love every minute of it. Thanks again Gail and Woody for taking the boys.
Happy Anniversary my Love!
6 year down and eternity to go! I am so happy I get to share it with you!
