Day 4

Today deserves two pictures!
-Day 4-

I thought this was super cute. So I thought I'd share.

The boys got into the pantry. I found them making thier own version of what we'd call smores.

Introducing the latest in 4 year old culinary masterpieces.

"Snores" No I did not have a typing error. Mason calls them Snores.

Saltine Crackers with Marshmellows.

Day 3

Day 3~ Monday Family night and Goals
Matt found me a treamill a month or so ago. And ever since I have been determined to make it "worth it." My first goal is to walk at least a mile a day. I do pretty good once I get in the habit it's easy to just do it. But this last weekend I slacked. Oh well I made up for it.
Last night for family home evening we got the whole family involved in exercise. We took the boys to the Jordan River Parkway and had a blast. We walked to a pond and fed the ducks with Jimmy and Nadia. The boys loved it. Mason kept asking me while we were walking. Why are we walking. I kept telling him " for excercise." On the way back he told us he loves excercise. (Yeah he got to ride the stroller half the way.) I hope my family can stay active and love excercise always. I know I need to work on it. Especially if I want to look ok in my swimsuit this summer!

Day 2

Day 2...
We've decided to give gardening a try again this year. Last year we spent way to much money for nothing but tomatoes and strawberries to grow. This year we bought a $17 kit from Sam's and started these from seeds. I am so proud we've gotten this far!! Now let's see what happens when we plant them?? Wish us luck.

Day 1

Day 1!!
Saturday was cleaning day. What can I say I start them young.
Manning: 5 months and give or take a week or two.

Photo of the Day

One of my friends (Jill) did this idea last month and I absolutly loved it. So I am stealing the idea in hopes that I will get in the groove of blogging a little more. It's a photo a day of/or depicts something that stood out in the day, a thought or an event type thing. I am very excited. So I am going to start today and do two one for yesterday and one for today. So enjoy!

A myriad of thoughts for a crazy day!

My friend Jill posted such a great blog post today that I thought I would steal her idea. After the crazy day I had today. I thought I would offer myself some cheap therapy.

Blogging feels so good sometimes. I use it as a journal. I actually have quite a few "drafts" I thought sounded rediculous that I never actually published to my blog. I should people just don't think I am crazy when I do. I can't control the randomness in my head.

I don't think I could be a mother of twins. I've had two infants for the past week and a half and I do have to say it is tough work. Kudos to those that have twins and have made it through.

I think in total today I have changed 15 diapers. 13 of which were poopy. And wiped a total of 6 bums. Wow! I just had to tell someone.

I love my neighbors. They are all so great! I am so happy we live where we live.

My husband showered me with comfort food. He brought me home frenchfries, triple chocolate cake and a can of Dr. Pepper. Oh he's wonderful!

My son managed to get shocked in the tush today by the electrical outlet. That was quite the event. Guess that will teach him to hide from me when he's in trouble and it opened my eyes to how important outlet covers really are.

I can't wait for Spring and to be able to go outside in the even and take the boys for a walk without freezing.

For the 3rd time in my whole career of motherhood, I got all my children to sleep before 8:30. And it wasn't a battle. (the no nap worked out to my benefit)

I have been going through my "drafts" and I suppose I am just going to start publishing some of my random thoughts I have been hiding. Today is June 15. This one is from Feb. 25. It makes me laugh!

Some Profound Thoughts

So I've been thinking.... That never starts out good. Matt knows when a conversation starts out like that he's in for the long haul, nothing short of tears, hugs and it's going to be ok's. Prepare yourself this is really profound.

Life IS like a game of Dodgeball...

As I am typing this I am picturing summertime, my backyard, a couple missionaries, neighborkids, grownup neighbors and alot of fun.

There are those (like myself) that get hit within the first 10 seconds of the game and are out. Those that are able to dodge the ball over and over until they get to tired and bam their out. Also those that are able to dodge the ball all through the game never getting hit or even touching the ball. (oh to be like them) Than there are those that are fighters, they are able to dodge the ball, they jump, duck, run and manage but what sets them apart from the previous group. These players are able to catch what's thrown at them and fight back.

In relation to life this is what I think. Life is not easy, life is constantly being thrown at you, coming from every direction, and what you do in reaction to what comes at you determines the outcome of the game. Some people see a problem or challenge coming and either aren't ready or just don't want to fight they get hit and bam they are out. I can honestly admit I have been that person. This is to hard. Why even bother? Some people are lucky and never get hit they are able to dodge everything and things go pretty good. But I'm sure that's not easy.
